How to file an SR22

The insurance carrier will file the SR22 for you electronically.    In some states, you can still download a paper copy.  paper copy of the SR22 that you can take to the DMV with you. 

Keep in mind that in some locations may not allow you to bring in the paper SR22 or FR44 filing and may require that you wait for the electronic filing to be received and confirmed.  It’s important to plan in advance, so contact us as soon as you you think that you may need the filing.  Although the filings are processed electronically, some DMVs or other agencies may have a lag time in between the day of filing and the day of processing.
