What is an FR44?

So what is an FR44?

An FR44 filing is similar in concept to an SR 22, but it may confirm that you maintain more than just the minimum amount of coverage required by the state requesting it.

The FR44 filing does not exist in all states.  Currently, in two states, Virginia and Florida, an FR-44 Filing may be required when you have a DUI / DWI / OVWI or other alcohol related violation. If you need an FR44, you will likely be required to purchase more than just the minimum limits of liability insurance required by the state.

Our team members can help you first by reviewing what the requirements for insurance are for your state, based on your unique needs and then by comparing the rates of multiple carriers.

Understanding Terms Used to Describe this Type of Insurance

People use a lot of different expressions to describe insurance that includes an SR22 or FR44 filing.  The terms “sr22 insurance” and “fr44 insurance” are a lot like “dui insurance”. They are used by the general public, yet they are not official types of insurance.  Our team can assist with auto insurance for people who have clean records, tickets,  as well as a DUI or DWI on their records.  We also assist by helping you to file the SR22 or FR44.   When you contact us, we can review the different terms, coverages, and the filings.
